Male Surgery
Tees Valley Hospital specialises in male cosmetic surgery procedures delivered by our team of leading local consultant plastic surgeons who are BAAPS/BAPRAS accredited, vastly experienced and offer unbiased advice.
Nose Reshaping
Nose reshaping, known as a rhinoplasty, is normally considered by men who want to change the size or shape of their nose and in some cases to reconstruct following an accident . At Tees Valley Hospital we offer two types of surgery which are an ‘open’ and ‘closed’ procedure and your consultant would advise which procedure is the most suitable to attain the best result. Surgery is delivered under general anaesthetic and takes around two hours.
Eyelid Surgery (upper eyelids/lower eyebags)
It is often drooping eyelids or large eye bags that often ‘age’ or make men look ‘tired’. There is a common belief from consultants that an upper eyelid procedure is for those people looking for a more youthful look as the removal of upper eyelid gives the eyes a more ‘fresher’ look. The surgery is typically delivered under general anaesthetic and takes from 1-2 hours.
Browlift
Creased forehead and drooping eyelids are often the reasons men consider a browlift as they want a more ‘youthful’ appearance and can often be combined with an upper eyelid procedure to enhance the result. Delivered under general anaesthetic the surgery takes from 1-2 hours.
Prominent Ear Correction
Typically a procedure for men who are unhappy with either the size or positioning of their ears. Performed as day case surgery the procedure to reposition, resize or reshape the ears is normally performed under local anaesthetic and takes around one hour.
Expanded ear lobe repair
Split ear lobes and the closure of opening from ear expanders are also delivered as minor surgery procedures under local anaesthetic.
